Etruscan Tessera Earrings refer to Etruscan jewelry of the 4th-3rd century BC, famous for its granulation technique and inspired by mosaic tesserae, or small, square cubes. The square shape with a beaded frame refers to the ancient aesthetic, in which symmetry and precision symbolized the harmony of the cosmos. The contemporary green-blue stone (Apatite Hydro Quartz) adds a fresh accent, combining a classic form with a modern color.

Symbolism of elements and stones

The square signifies stability and balance – in ancient cultures associated with the four elements. The granulated frame of gilded brass resembles the sun enveloping the central stone, enhancing its glow. Apatite Hydro Quartz – although synthetic – retains the sea green-blue colour of natural apatite, which has been attributed to the energy of clarity of thought and creative flow.

Handmade process

The body of the earrings is cast using the lost wax method and then hand-crafted by the jeweller. After polishing and 24K gold plating, the stone is set in a precisely fitted bezel. The whole thing is finished with thorough polishing and quality control to achieve a pure shine and even symmetry.
