Symbolism and art history

The inspiration for the Byzantia Rosata form are rings from the Byzantine period - an era known for its splendor, ornamentation and spiritual depth. In those times, jewelry was not only an ornament, but also an amulet and a symbol of belonging to the aristocracy. The pink stone evokes feminine archetypes - gentleness, wisdom and inner light - that were honored in the iconography of the era.

Symbolism of elements

Cherry Quartz, thanks to its semi-transparent depth and natural streaks, symbolizes harmony of emotions and spiritual relief. The openwork crown around the stone resembles leafy scrolls from medieval manuscripts, symbolizing eternal life and Divine presence. The spiral endings supporting the setting refer to the idea of cyclicality and the feminine order of the world.

Handmade process

The ring is made in several stages – first it is cast from brass in a form inspired by a classic crown. Then the elements of decoration are hand-finished and soldered to create a balanced, openwork composition. Finally, the polished Cherry Quartz is placed, after which the whole is covered with 24-karat gold and polished to maintain the unique texture and durability.
