Symbolism and art history

The oval shape of the ring is inspired by the shape of ancient seals worn by merchants and nomads traversing the desert sands. In Islamic art, turquoise shades symbolized water – the most precious treasure of desert cultures and a promise of rebirth.
The technique of combining Apatite Mojave stones with a copper mesh was created only in the 20th century in Arizona, drawing on the tradition of Mayan mosaics, which makes each cabochon absolutely unique.

Handmade Process

The ring is cast in brass using the lost wax method to preserve sharp edges and deep texture.
After cleaning and hand-matting the dial, we apply 18-karat gold in a galvanic process, ensuring an even, lasting shine.
The selected Apatite Mojave stone is hand-set in a smooth "bezel setting" and the whole thing is polished to a satin finish, so the ring softly reflects light.
